1) Goodreads is a great website to check for books people in your network have been reading. You can update yours too. I stumbled on this few days back while checking widgets to my Professional SAFETY BLOG initiated last week. 

2)Social Media is established to have your social print in various areas, (Personal, Social, Political, Professional, Business) as working domain and each is customised by users for specifics. I am therefore deeply disappointed with LINKEDIN becoming Naked Man in a coat/suit with total Identity crisis. It has now become neither personal nor business. I now don't even post professional comments there for the past year or so. Far cry from 2007 days.

The forthcoming week concludes 40 years, 16th March 1977 was elections to Lokshaba in which Mrs Gandhi was defeated after emergency.(She still won 200 seats, sweep in South India) Needless to say, idiots who came to govern,fought among themselves and she was back as PM 30 Months later. Goes to show how Non Congress parties, then, as of now, are பொருக்கி, பிச்சைக்காரன்,அயோக்கியன்ஸ்,முளை கெட்ட மூதேவிஸ் when governing at centre! Every Non Congress government has a curse and failed to meet people expectations and are tale of horror, incompetence, Impotence(!!!!! given all bachellor Bastards govern(ed) as PM!) I wonder we need constitutional amendment that only Married men/women should become PM! I am reminded of past jokes that my Pakistan Friends say of Benazir/Zardari. (Benazir is atleast doing to country what she gets at bed!! hahahahh) I am not pro Congress but traits to govern missing in Non CONG folks. PERIOD! Would next generation of 30+ have it? Let's see? 

Today (11th March) marks the anniversaries of 1)Japan Earthquake, Tsunami,Fukuchima-Daaichi Disaster 2) Madrid Train Bombings for which initially ETA was wrongly blamed. While lessons have been learnt and progress made these events have left a deep impact that when unforeseen/ unplanned events happen,you require good fortune and count your blessings not to have significant impact on you/your dear/near.





How much Technology has moved on, now #1 song on music is not by album sales but by streaming. Every 150 stream is counted as 1 sale. Album count is largely determined by that factor too decide Charts Ranking. I recollect fondly the SONIQUE my 1st digital music player (1998) 

and Napster (2004?) for songs!!

I wont be surprised, if in few years, streaming alone wins a Grammy for a top song?? In this context, it is interesting to hear how Ed Sheeran new album making waves! (Would I give a listen? I have my doubts, my music stopped in late 80s, may be 1 or 2 songs perhaps)

1) Onetab is a super tool to collect all web pages in 1 go and read!! I do my morning newspapers, Safety pages collection and browse.

2) I was amazed to find PDF Merge a super app. I created 20 pages of PDF and then wanted to  merge all in 20 in one file so that print out at professional shop is easy and bind. This app helped a lot and it is on line no download pain... So much impressed was that app, I did my small amount of donation as token of appreciation!

Yesterday night was time for awesome dinner at Indian Kitchen at ORION MALL! it had been quiet some time on a dinner outing with me, Lalitha & Kids(hahhah 25,23 KIDS???). Food was awesome. The resturant has been refurbished and looks spacious and lot quiter( I hate that background music) After a good 20+ years, I tried Gauva dish. (Rajasthan type used to be made superb by my maharaj at Ankleshwar, Roop Singh Purohit)!!

This was followed by Son ordering his dessert and me watching it from across the aisle! hahahh! It's been 22 years since dessert as a formal item in dinner (exceptions only when birthday, new year, Diwali, pongal one time one serving!)

Talking of avoiding sugar,the stupid thing most diabetic folks do is to jump in to Sugar free Aspartame as sugar alternate. I must count my lucky star, that in my 23 years of Diabetic care, my temptation for Sugar free (Equal, NutraSweet whatever) is close to zero!I must have used less than 23 tit bits in 23 years!!(Rarely I use on Green tea to avoid blandness) Many people dont realise that Aspartame does more damage to kidneys, neuro systems as well as contributes to obesity! Thankfully I was aware of this that time, so all my coffee /tea was 0Sugar in every sense. That helped me enjoy the original taste of beverage unmasked.

hahahh!! Here is an awesome video that came in whats app this morning I uploaded to you tube to do my bit.Boy Any Bugger tells Demonetisation ( I call Demonisation) is good! Hit him with foot wear!! In my dinner conversations with Son,he agrees, things have become too much sycophantic  with even educated people even getting mesmerised by stupid Bastordic asshole of politicians be it Modi or Kejriwal etc etc!! Even seasoned politicians of 5 decades Dr Swamy not distinguishing himself in recent past!! But then this is cursed nation!!!

அவர் கொண்டு வந்த குதிரையின் அழகு அனைவரையும் கவர்ந்தது. பளபளவென கருத்த உடம்பு, மினுமினுப்பான வால், நெற்றியின் நடுவில் நட்சத்திர வடிவில் வெள்ளையாக மச்சம், கம்பீரமான நடை என.... ஒரு குதிரை சந்தைக்கு வந்தால் யார்தான் பார்க்க மாட்டார்கள்!

எல்லோரும் அந்த குதிரையின் அழகில் மயங்கி, "இவ்வளவு அழகான குதிரை, விலையும் அதிகமாகத்தான் இருக்கும்" என்று சொல்லி ஒதுங்கி விட்டார்கள். அப்போது.....

பஞ்சபாண்டவர்களில் ஒருவரான சஹாதேவன் சந்தைக்குள் நுழைந்தான். அழகான குதிரையை அவனும் பார்த்தான். உடனே குதிரையின் உரிமையாளரை நெருங்கி, "குதிரை என்ன விலை? என்று கேட்டான்.

குதிரையின் உரிமையாளரோ, "ஐயா! இந்த குதிரை விற்பனைக்கு அல்ல. நான் கேட்கும் கேள்விகளுக்கு பதில் சொன்னால், குதிரையை இலவசமாகவே கொடுப்பேன்" என்றார். சகாதேவன் உடனே, "சரி கேள்வியைச் சொல்லுங்கள்" என்றான்.

குதிரையின் உரிமையாளர், "நன்றாகக் கவனியுங்கள்! பிறகு பதில் சொல்லுங்கள்! ஒரு பெரிய கிணறு. அதில் உள்ள தண்ணீரைக் கொண்டு ஏழு சிறிய கிணறுகளை நிரப்பலாம். ஆனால், அந்த ஏழு கிணறுகளில் இருக்கும் தண்ணீரை எடுத்து, மறுபடியும் அந்த பெரிய கிணற்றில் ஊற்றினால், பெரிய கிணறு நிரம்பவில்லை. இது ஏன்? நன்றாக யோசித்து பதில் சொல்லுங்கள்" என்றார். சஹாதேவனால் பதில் சொல்ல முடியவில்லை. அங்கேயே சந்தையில் உட்கார்ந்து விட்டான்.

சற்று நேரத்தில்.... சகாதேவனை தேடிக்கொண்டு நகுலனும் சந்தைக்கு வந்து விட்டான். அவனும் குதிரையைப் பார்த்து, அதன் அழகில் மயங்கிப் போய் விலை கேட்டான்.

குதிரையின் உரிமையாளர், நகுலனிடம் ஒரு கேள்வி கேட்டார். "ஐயா! நான் ஒரு கேள்வி கேட்கிறேன். பதில் சொல்லிவிட்டு, குதிரையை இலவசமாகவே பெற்றுக்கொள்ளுங்கள்.  துணி தைக்கும் ஊசி இருக்கிறது அல்லவா? அதன் ஓட்டையின் வழியாக ஒரு யானை புகுந்து, அடுத்த பக்கம் போய்விட்டது. ஆனால் யானையின் வால் மட்டும் அந்த ஓட்டையின் வழியாகப் போக முடியவில்லை. ஏன்?" என்றார். நகுலனால் பதில் சொல்ல முடியவில்லை. அவனும் சந்தையில் உட்கார்ந்திருந்த சஹாதேவனுடன் சேர்ந்து உட்கார்ந்துவிட்டான்.

அதன் பிறகு ஒரு சில நிமிடங்களில், அர்ஜுனனும் அங்கு வந்தான். அவனும், குதிரையைப் பார்த்து, அதன் அழகில் மயங்கிப் போய் விலை கேட்டான். குதிரையின் உரிமையாளர், அர்ஜுனனிடமும் கேள்வி கேட்டார்.

"ஐயா! ஒரு வயல் காட்டில் நன்றாக விளைந்து இருந்தது. அதற்கு வேலியெல்லாம் போட்டு பாதுகாப்பாக வைத்து இருந்தார்கள். ஆனால் அறுவடை காலத்தில், அந்த வயல் காட்டில் எதுவுமே இல்லை. வேலியெல்லாம் அப்படியே இருந்தது. அப்படி இருந்தும் விளைந்த தானியங்களை எல்லாம் யார் எடுத்தார்கள்? பதில் சொல்லிவிட்டு, குதிரையை கொண்டு செல்லுங்கள்" என்றார். அர்ஜுனனால் பதில் சொல்ல முடியவில்லை. அவனும் ஆலோசனை செய்தபடி அங்கேயே உட்கார்ந்து விட்டான்.

சஹோதரர்கள் மூவரும் இப்படி உட்கார்ந்திருக்க, அரண்மனையில் அவர்களைக் காணாமல், தர்மர் திகைத்தார். பீமனைக் கூப்பிட்டு, "தம்பி! நம் தம்பிகள் மூவரையும் நீண்ட நேரமாக காணவில்லை. நீ போய், அவர்கள் எங்கு இருந்தாலும் தேடி அழைத்து வா!" என்றார்.

பீமனும் போய் தேடிப்பிடித்து, அர்ஜுனன், நகுலன், சஹாதேவன் மூவரையும் அழைத்து வந்தான். பாஞ்சாலியோடு அரியணையில் அமர்ந்திருந்த தர்மர், அவர்களைப் பார்த்ததும், "அர்ஜுனா! நீண்ட நேரமாக நீயும் உன் தம்பிகளும் இங்கு இல்லை. எங்கே போய் இருந்தீர்கள்?" எனக் கேட்டார்.

அதற்குப் பதிலாக அர்ஜுனன், நடந்ததை எல்லாம் சொல்லி, குதிரை உரிமையாளர் கேட்ட மூன்று கேள்விகளையும் சொன்னான். அதைக் கேட்டதும் தர்மர் நடுங்கினார். அதைப் பார்த்த தம்பிகள்  எல்லாரும் திகைத்தார்கள்.  "அண்ணா! நீங்கள் நடுங்கும்படியாக என்ன நடந்தது?" எனக் கேட்டார்கள்.

தர்மர் பதில் சொல்லத் தொடங்கினார்.....

"தம்பிகளே! எதிர்காலத்தில் நடக்கப்போகும் விபரீதங்களை, அந்த மூன்று கேள்விகளும் சொல்கின்றன. அதை நினைத்துத்தான் நடுங்கினேன். ஒவ்வொன்றாகச் சொல்கிறேன் கேளுங்கள்....." என்று விரிவாகக் கூறினார்.

"உங்களிடம் கேள்வி கேட்டவன் கலி புருஷன். அவன் கேட்ட முதல் கேள்வியில் பெரிய கிணறு என்பது பெற்றோர்கள். ஏழு சிறிய கிணறு என்பது அவர்களது பிள்ளைகள். பெற்றோர்கள் தங்கள் பிள்ளைகளை, அவர்கள் எவ்வளவு பேர்களாக இருந்தாலும் சரி! அவ்வளவு பிள்ளைகளையும் காப்பாற்றுவார்கள். இதைத்தான் பெரிய கிணற்றின் தண்ணீரைக் கொண்டு சிறிய கிணற்றை நிரப்பினார்கள் என்றது குறிக்கிறது. ஆனால் அந்த பிள்ளைகளோ, அவ்வளவு பேர்களும் சேர்ந்தால் கூட, தங்கள் பெற்றோரை காப்பாற்ற மாட்டார்கள். இதைத்தான் ஏழு சிறிய கிணறுகளில் உள்ள தண்ணீரைக் கொண்டு, பெரிய கிணற்றை நிரப்ப முடியவில்லை என்பது குறித்தது.

அடுத்து இரண்டாவது கேள்விப்படி, இனி வருங்காலங்களில் அக்கிரமங்கள், முறைகேடான செயல்கள் ஏராளமாக நடைபெறும். ஆனால் நல்ல செயல்கள் நடைபெறுவது மிகவும் கடினமாக இருக்கும். இதைக்த்தான் யானையே போன வழியில், அதன் வால் போக முடியவில்லை என்று சொல்லி இருக்கிறார்.

அடுத்து மூன்றாவது கேள்வியில் பயிர்கள் என்பது மக்களைக் குறிக்கும், பாதுகாக்கும் வேலி என்பது அதிகாரிகளைக் குறிக்கும். அதாவது மக்களைப் பாதுகாக்க வேண்டிய அதிகாரிகளே அவர்களை அழித்து விடுவார்கள். மக்கள்தான் வறுமையில் வாடுவார்களே தவிர, அதிகாரிகள் செழிப்பாகத்தான் இருப்பார்கள். இதைத்தான், வேலி அப்படியே இருக்க,  பயிர்கள் எப்படி அழிந்தன என்ற கேள்வி குறிப்பிடுகிறது என்று சொல்லி முடித்தார் தர்மர்...

I think 50 is a good number of podcasts spread across spectrum to listen while walking.(Hourly/daily/weekly/basis the pod casts gets updated) With 2.5X Speed of play you cover. The Bullshit Filter  is the 50th Podcast with intriguing aspect covered like Jesus mentioned more times than Mohamed!!in the, would you believe, in QURAN!!! Cameron Reilly, the Aussie has been around for ages from Podcast Network back in 2005!

2) What gets measured gets done, I am glad I could break the 20,000 Steps/day mark! It was always getting stuck 18,19K! Finally, broke it yesterday with 45 min shopping walk with son (Who is recovering well from dislocated kneecap 3 weeks back, so he practised long walk on bumpy Bangalore roads, yesterday!!!) Every cloud has silver lining!! ahhahahahahah!!!!

"Cunning Chinese and Crooked Indians" is my approach to anything that concerns these 2 folks. Wont believe me !! See this News item below!! You bet, you can't stereotype all, as I know of lot and lot of Chinese Folks who have hosted me and taken care of me super duper in my travel there, but the saying goes!! ehheheheh!!! 

Indian crookedness, 100s of stories one such is this!! Would you have any sympathy for Indian cricketers and Board who are protesting the ass whipping Supreme court has handed to them! I cant think of one Indian cricket guy in the past 35 years,(player, administrator) who was not crooked or corrupt or used malpractices and courts took them to task!! Now cry baby !! This crookedness extends to all walks of life! 

Stunning, you work for 12 years,Called in one morning and said you are FIRED and given minutes to pack and quit without even talking to any one and no news of your exit formally!! While this is common happening in USA, to see this happen in Australia the world has arrived?? I Wonder India would be there in 3-5 years?????? !! But in India, the HR guy may pay a price with his life as happened couple of times!! ehheheh!!! With Current HR globally being labelled as Hitler's Regiment,(HR) I wonder whether the common fraternity sympathises with them when they get the stick even as bad as death??? To me HR is the past decade is the most hyped non value add entity and mostly Bad HR around, (more so I have done MBA-HR to see what the F**K is that and found it is most Gas and 90% these days in Bad HR and nodding head to leadership!!) hahahahhahah!!!

Today being National safety day here in India, I don't give a hoot about it, as these slogans, posters,celebrations are evaporative with effect lasting 2-3 days and all forgotten as with 80% things in India. I guess, my last such celebration was 1998 in a facility long forgotten!(Of course,we notches ahead to take accidents, incidents seriously and never repeat-not compliance driven thinking as mostly done here, hehehehhe and don't bloody argue Union Carbide -Bhopal was MNC!!!!) As a Safety professional,I feel saddened so many lives lost and you do nothing about it with culture, leadership, systems, engagement etc and wait for laws to be the stick to beat you with for excellence ......!

If he had driven 5Mph/ hr more or less he would have survived!! The question is Should he have driven when rains, winds, hailstorm around?? I wonder??? Some deaths have no answer!!!

When you elect uneducated/illiterate leaders this is what you get! I am astonished at comparison even to Harvard and Hardwork! If Hard work alone leads to results then people would forego sleep and become millionaire, make money and sleep! What a rubbish! We get the leaders we deserve. I am no fan of Amartya Sen, doesn't mean you agree to every rubbish dished out!! 

Enough has been written on Fudging of numbers in developing world, more so in India etc. I recollect famous Joke on General Smuts which I posted on Twitter some time back. 

Any data from India is suspicious, fudge, fishy!! I see the GDP numbers in same light! Also this calculations show how the fudge game played to show no effect of Demonisation(!!!) hahha!!!( I assume the numbers given below dont lie)

I also suspect as Indian finance system is in mess as these two articles point out! I only hope we don't go the Greece way of fudging numbers so much that there is no way out! With Modi being called Employee #420 of Ambani/Adani, (hhahha The section connects Fraud/cheat in IPC) I see less hope!

Therefore, I am not surprised with this article (TAMIL) on ISHA Coimbatore on loot plunder. Also his past a huge suspect. I always feel these stealth operators like Jakki, Sreesreee, Ramdev are far dangerous than ISIS etc.

1) Yesterday I had done superjob of clean up of FB, etc. Really amazed with feauters to do this almost first time in a decade in any of Social Media Apps (Some called me Anti National for taking stance against "Stupid MODI" hahahahhahahahha) Face book has brought in lot of features makes life easy! Of course Unlike Twitter, you cant post anonymous abuse and run away!!! I was intrigued to listen this morning,

2) I love the FOX NEWS App, It downloads news headlines (< 2min listen with my speed of 2.5X) and you can keep yourself updated when you want to!! Also it doesn't download when phone is in sleep mode,( I got up this morning at 445am hahhah super disturbed by Lalitha's alarm) so super way of no extra items to listen to!!

The King  of Saudi Arabia, Salman is on a visit to Saudi Arabia. This is the first visit by him to this nation in 50 years.What's intriguing is King's goods that he uses as luxury was carried in 27 Flights and 600 personnel, 459Tons of goods(Including his Mercedes) accompanied him to help things out!!

I wondered if the king was lady in his previous birth to carry so much?? Wondered how much Theresa May's entourage was? hahahahah!!!

I was listening to Lucy this morning on how death of dear/near ones especially parents make you change career or take re look at life!! I agree with her!! My grandfather and grand mom lived until their 90s so Dad was in to late 60s when soul searching happened so I wondered he missed the bus to do changes and adapt to ever changing needs!!! I was just calculating the tool she mentioned, to see how longer I have to work a plan?? hahhah! plenty I would think.!!I do course corrections not waiting for my parents' departure! ( I think I am half way in to it, taking career change plunge in 2012, to quit the Idiotic corporate!!) Could I have done better? Let's wait and see???

2) I am listening to Trump Inagural State of nation  address to Congress, as I type, in Fox NEWS!! No longer you need to sit in front of tv and waste time!! I sense applause so far no longer decibels as Obama or BUSH Had!!! So far (755pm) looks a campaign speech!!

The ongoing protest on,Hydrocarbon extract (FRACKING?) in Cauvery Delta is a valid. As Environmental Engineer, I find Fracking has caused more damage to water system, health of people as well as potential earthquake in such area!! in Europe/UK fracking is a blasphemous term!!!

I am astonished the idiotic Central government (Bunch of Idiots who look பிச்சைக்காரன், பொருக்கி,கபோதி, மந்திரி) who have no brain forcing it)

I stumbled on the BBC Podcast on Mathematics History. Very great listen. I have gone through 5/10. Intriguing to hear about great deeds of Newton, Euler, Gauss.... Galois lived only untill age 20 and such a fame?????? To do what they did with no tech support etc as we have now seems divine support!!

PS: The standing ovation for Late RYAN OWENS (Seal died in Yemen ops) been stunning! Is this the longest in American History! I wonder!!!!
